Hey guys, I'm back with something cool I picked up over this past weekend! Like any teenage boy of my "day" I became a huge fan of DC Comics in 1989 when Tim Burton's Batman hit the big screen. I had it all; comics, toys, hats, shirts, skateboards and anything else I could find with the Batman logo emblazoned on it. It was also in the 80's that I discovered Frank Miller and the seminal Dark Knight Returns comic book. I loved everything about that comic, but the thing that was seered into my teenage brain was that super cool armored Batman suit Bruce Wayne constructed to have a little bit of a fighting chance against Superman. So it should come as no shock when I tell you that any time I see a Batman toy at any store I stop and take a good look and ponder whether I really need food this week or not and when I ran across this ARMORED Batman toy at the Dollar Tree I couldn't pass it up, plus at just $1.25 I could also eat this week too!
In this video I "unbox" this cool Armored Batman Micro Collection figure and take a good look at how well the figure is made, I try to figure out why this Miro Collection toy isn't made of metal while I look under Batman's cape, I question why only a group of 4 Oompa Loompas can play with this toy and realize that we have WAY too much legal jargon destroying packaging design in the world today. Plus, I compare it to my MUCH larger Batman Dark Night Returns comic book figure as well!
Overall it's a pretty cool toy to add to my Batman collection. There were a couple of very small issues with the cape and the base that sort of bothered me, but none of those issues take away from the cool factor of the toy or the design. The overall design of the figure is pretty spot on with what Warner Bros. did in the Justice League movies while also staying pretty true to the classic comic book armored design to keep fans of the comics pleased too. For just over a dollar each these figures are definitely a good buy and - most likely - I'll be back at the Dollar Tree to pick up the rest of the Justice League to show you guys soon enough.
